Meteghan Station was once a train stop along the former train’s course.
The old train track is now a popular ATV and walking trail called Rails to Trails.
From coastal Highway 1, turn inland onto Placide Comeau Road, more commonly known to locals as “the High School Road”, leading to the village of Meteghan Station. Since the road is a dead end, it is very difficult to get lost; a left turn at the end will take you to the village of Bangor home of the Bangor Sawmill.
