Clare’s newest park offers visitors panoramic views of dramatic cliffs and breathtaking sunsets over Saint Mary’s Bay and the Gulf of Maine.
The park features ample parking, an accessible picnic shelter, as well as interpretive panels explaining the history and nature of the area.
The centrepiece of the park is a monument commemorating those lost to the sea from the Municipality of Clare. Local sculptor Marc Graff carved the fisherman’s bust that sits atop the monument. A great place to sit and watch waves break!
Toilets onsite.
Artventures: Plein-air au cap - Saturday, August 8, 2026
Artist-members of le Conseil des arts de la Baie are invited to a day of plein-air creation at the Cape Saint Marys lighthouse. We will organize a lunch option for participants who are interested. Artists are welcome to display some of their works for sale as they paint. The public is welcome to stop in for free and watch these artists in full creation mode.
