Fun facts: In 2019, the Municipality of Clare hired JD Composites Inc. to build the shelter housing the toilets at Cape Saint Mary Lighthouse Park using PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) core foam green technology. The equivalent of 26,000 recycled standard plastic bottles PET was used for the project. This long-lasting material lends itself well to outdoor applications due to its resistance to rot, mildew, insects, and wind. The JD Composites restroom model has been replicated in several locations throughout Clare since introduced at the Cape site.
